Great guy,Viet!!! - Tuesday, 26 January 2010 04:00 - Australia

Great food, great tour, great guy! I met Viet in Dalat and he convinced me to take a three day trip with him through the central highlands and then on to Na Trang. The first day we packed a lot of great stuff in, saw some plenty you wouldn't see with a tour group, and wouldn't be able to find on your own. Well worth it. We stayed at the very scenic Lak Lake the first night, great room (included in the price), good food as well, a big priority for me. The second night we stayed in Ban Me Thuoc and, as I said, finished up in Na Trang. I would recomend Viet to anyone wanting to see a little more than you can from the bus window. Great! His website:www.vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com and his office:34 Co Loa Street,Dalat

What a wonderful experience!!! - Thursday, 21 January 2010 02:24 - Australia

David and I arrived in Dalat hoping to connect with vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com but not sure where or how. We need not have worried Mr Viet found us. He introduced himself and mad our lives so much easier showing us a glowing collection of recommendations and explaining to us where he would take us for our tour. It was exactly what we were after so we filled out the paper work left a deposit and looked forward to seeing him the next day . At 9am we were collected and taken to a hiking spot which provided wonderful views. Then off again to visit flower farms, weasel coffee farm, waterfalls, temples, time for lunch. Mr Viet  took us to a street cafe where we ate some traditional foods and showed us the best way to enjoy them. We then took off to the silk farm where we were amazed at how it starts and ends in beautiful fabric. We then made our way back to Dalat stopping in at the Crazy house of which we had never heard. We had the most wonderful day out and Mr Viet was a fantastic guide answering all our questions in his excellent spoken English. We would like to thank Mr Viet for making us feel at home in his country and city we felt very special the way he looked after us. Ad we did share lots of laughs too. A perfect day if we must say. THANKS MR Viet with the website of vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com

Good tour in vietnam - Sunday, 10 January 2010 03:51 - Australia

Subject: good tour in vietnam

We are a backpacker couple from Australia who ventured with Chilli and Chau from Central Dalat to Nha Trang, across local bumpy roads and busy highways.
At first we were hesitant about the offer of a three day tour. But it is both well worth the price and completely safe.
Chilli and Chau, our tour guides, are great guys. Very honest and genuine. Chilli is incredibly sweet and wise, giving us a true Vietnamese perspective on the war he unfortunately lived through. Chau is equally sweet and so attentive to our needs. He has a great sense of humour too and constantly kept us laughing.
At first we were worried about our safety on the back of a few bikes travelling through dangrous South East Asia, but those fears were quickly dispelled after Chilli and Chau dodged the traffic so effortlessly it felt like there wasn't any to begin with. Our time with them was so pleasant and they showed us so many amazing things that we feel happy to say that this tour has been the highlight of our 2 month long South East Asia adventure. Check out our Trip  review, we really do tell all!
Don't be hesitant, you wont regret it.
If you would like to book a tour with Chilli please contact him at vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com, Australia.

Viet nam!!! - Wednesday, 14 October 2009 05:22

An experience of lifetime!!! - Wednesday, 23 September 2009 11:59 - Germany

I just met Chilli and booked an 8-day tour from Da Lat (Dalat) to Hoi An (via Hue) with him. And I am sure I won't regret it - but I will keep you posted. Here are my experiences so far. To begin with: It is close to impossible to say who the "real" Easy Riders are. I have checked half a dozen and was just on my way to book one when Chilli addressed me in the street. If someone addresses you in the street it does not necessarily mean that this is a scam. That's just the way it is in SEA. But IMHO there is no way to tell whether you met one of the original Easy riders. What convinced me to travel with Chilli: All Easy Riders have certificates, brand protected logos, the "original" website, and all claim to be recommended by the Lonely Planet (LP). However, in the 2012 edition of the LP there is no website mentioned at all! So, don't fall for this. However, I found a copy of Stefan Looses's German travel book and in this the vietnamoriginaleasyrider company are mentioned. Chilli showed me there headquarter and introduced me to their leader. In the end you have to sum up your information and decide for yourself. All, who call themselves Easy Riders, have journals with excellent recommendations. Which is obvious. No guide would ask for written feedback and hand over a journal to an unhappy customer, right? Hence, you cannot even rely on the recommendations they are carrying around. I am sure you can have marvellous trips with many of the other Easy Riders clubs here, but here are my criteria that finally convinced me to go with Chilli. 1. Know the guide before you make the booking. Many Easy Riders will refer you to a guide who you'll meet ...

A wonderful trip! - Wednesday, 02 September 2009 12:35 - Canada

Confused by the many reports with various companies, we eventually decided to go with www.vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com for a few reasons. Firstly, we only had an afternoon and liked the idea of touring in the refurbed '65 ex army jeep (also because it had been raining most time since we had arrived - a bit more comfortable than the back of a bike). Also, the website gave a fairly concise rundown of where we would - or could go, depending on the time and our preferences. We were picked up by Viet at our hotel at 1pm and taken for a value packed afternoon around Dalat.Viet was very informative, courteous and eager to ensure we had a good time. We enjoyed it so much we ended up calling Viet that night and arranging for a trip further afield the next afternoon. I would definitely recommend their tour if you don't have much time and want a fun packed tour of Dalat.

Real VietNam from the bike - Wednesday, 02 September 2009 08:13 - Isarel

Me and my boyfriend took a Easyrider tour from Dalat to Nha Trang. It was amazing! Our tourguides, Davis and Hieu, knew everything to know about Vietnam! Davis has studied english and Vietnamese history for four years at the university, and that is really valuable on this tour! It would not be the same at all with someone without this knowledge and good language!! So Ask for Davis and Hieu specigically, or email them directly :) got to see great nature, a lot of different types of manufactuting, and got to see everyday life of people living in villages outside the big cities. Actually, got to live in the home of a local family up in the Mountains for One night as well! These Things we would never be able to experience on our own. In addition, Davis’s stories and explanations made it quite a learningful journey. Fantastic! This is definitely something to remember, and One of the great highlights of our three months journey!

Trip to mekong delta - Wednesday, 02 September 2009 03:01

Amazing trip!!! - Saturday, 06 June 2009 07:57 - Germany

My boyfriend and I have just arrived in Nha Trang (from Dalat) after 3 fun, informative and adventure filled days on the Easy Rider tour. Mr. Chilli and Mr. Hung approached us as soon as we got off the bus in Dalat, and offered to take us to our hotel for free. We were a little unsure, even though they were very kind from the beginning- as a backpacker, it is difficult sometimes to know who you can trust. They strapped on all of our luggage, took us straight to our hotel, then waited in a nearby coffee shop to discuss doing a tour with them. I was nervous at first- putting our safety, accommodations, etc. in their hands, but after hearing their offer, reading many positive reviews and getting to know them a little bit, we decided "why not!"...and it was the best decision we could have made! We started with the day tour of Dalat, which has some of the most incredible views I have ever seen, then went on to do the 3 day tour to Nah Trang. Mr. Chilli and Mr. Hung went above and beyond, not only taking us to so many cool places and teaching us about the local way of life, but also always putting our needs first; making sure we were okay...checking to make sure we had sunscreen on and were comfortable and didn't forget anything. The accommodations were better than what we would have chosen for ourselves (!), we ate cheap, local and delicious food the entire time. They took care of ordering everything for us, and it was fun to try and learn about the local food. They are both very cautious drivers, I felt very safe the whole time which was nice and allowed me to sit back and enjoy the ride! They stopped every 30 minutes or so, you will definitely see much more on this tour than you would on a bus- it is by far the best way to see the Central Highlands of Vietnam. If you can't tell, I highly recommend taking the tour with Mr. Chilli and Mr. Hung. They are genuinely kind people who want to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. They're also pretty funny- you will be entertained and even learn some Vietnamese! Cám on rât nhiêú!! Ôí troí ói!!

Oh my god! - Saturday, 02 May 2009 02:13 - Villarvolard

MERCI Viet !

Perfect Chilli - Wednesday, 22 April 2009 08:35 - Canada

I was In Vietnam in not too long ago and had an amazing time going from dalat to Nha Trang with Chilli, Of Vietnam Easy riders. This guy was the best. At first, I was sceptical of going on a motorbike tour of the central highlands. I Randomly met Chilli at the bus stop in Dalat. He took me for a ride around dal at and convinced me that he was the guy to go with, and it was a great choice! He stops at all the cool attractions, the best waterfalls, gets you off the beaten path and gets you interacting with all the locals. If you would like to see the real Vietnam, this is the guy to go with. I recommend him to my brother and another friend who went to vietnam shortly after i did and they also love it! My only regret is not going on a longer tour. I did the three day tour, but really wish i had went longer. My friend and then later my brother both opted for the 10 day tour and had a blast. I highly recommend Chilli as a motorcycle tour guide. He was very helpful and rates were very reasonable.

Wonderful experience - Wednesday, 22 April 2009 07:53 - Canada

We did a 3 days, 2 nights tour from Dalat to NhaTrang with Chilli & Davis and we are absolutely grateful that we had those two guys as our drivers: they are very funny, speak good English, took us to some locals that even they haven't met before and helped us a lot with booking our ongoing trip. They took us to farms, stopped at a rice field where people were working, talked to them and let us try to chop down the rice. They also took us to beautiful waterfalls and let us swim there. In the evening, they taught us some vietnamese and drank rice wine with us and other locals. So if you want to see the real Vietnam, no doubts this is the best way to get to know the country. I definitely come back and next time do whole Vietnam by Easyrider :)

Nice Mekong Delta - Saturday, 18 April 2009 09:41 - Germany

Unique, authenic and beautiful insight the real VietNam - Thursday, 12 March 2009 07:48 - Australia

We spent the better part of three days in Dalat figuring out whether we could fit this trip into our budget. The answer was "Probably not, but we'll definitely regret not doing this". Best decision we could have made. We took a 3D/2N trip from Dalat to Nga Trang, riding pillion with Gon and Phuong. We were completely inexperienced on a motorbike but after some reassuring words and a few jokes we were on our way, weaving through the traffic and holding on far tighter than necessary.

Our first stop of many was at a local tofu producer, where we tried out some fresh and fried tofu - the best we've tasted since arriving. We also made stops at a flower farm, a silk manufacturing plant (ate some silk worms, think warm, peanut butter with a crispy shell, surprisingly yummy), and a thundering waterfall you can walk underneath. The scenery passing by was just breathtaking, we relaxed on the bikes and took in the sights, smells and sounds. Every time we needed a break our guides somehow read our minds. Before we knew it we were pulling in to a coffee plantation to try some famous Weasel Coffee (so worth it, we bought some to bring home). Unfortunately Phuongs bike broke down but was soon replaced by Quang, who was just as friendly.

The second day began with an elephant ride across Lak Lake and past rice paddies, before we set off to visit more farms. Unfortunately our elephant rider was extremely cruel and rough to our elephant using a sharp, rusty, metal hook in its ear when it attempted to turn off the path. Resulted in the most horrific cry we have ever heard an elephant give. Also repeatedly banged a metal spike into its head to keep it moving. Really soured our experience, we begged him to let the elephant decide when it had had enough but he forced it to continue. Really sad they are not educating their keepers to treat these magnificent animals respectfully. It was scary, we wanted to get off almost as soon as we got on. This was the only negative experience on our trip and not really to do with Easyriders, just our experience.

Moving on though, for reasons unknown to us the entire second day was spent riding through swirling clouds of thousands of brilliant yellow butterflies, really just added to the magical experience. We stopped at the most delicious cafes and restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all local and very yummy, healthy and safe (one of us has a sensitive stomach). The Hmong minority village we visited was a definite highlight, as we were one of the few tourists that have ever been there.

The last day we were caught in an absolutely ferocious lightening storm which forced us to take shelter for half an hour with several other locals. Such dramatic weather enhanced the feelings of adventure and excitement.

Rolled into Nha Trang soggy but proud, loved the looks we were getting from the dressed up tourists strolling the sidewalk. Still can't wipe the smiles off our faces even weeks later.

If you are in the same position as we were, we would recommend to just go for it. We have no regrets and it was definitely worth the money to get to know the real Vietnam. Do at least the 3 day tour if possible, we wished we could do longer. Go via the new road on the last day through the beautiful mountains instead of the horrible highway! Loved it!!! Thanks Phuong, Gon and Quang.

Nuine to Dalat - Saturday, 14 February 2009 01:30 - Switzerland

Vietnam easyrider-one day tour - Monday, 02 February 2009 12:58 - Germany

I and a group of five friends just completed a one day tour of the Dalat countryside with Easyriders. The day was fantastic, Viet - my rider was helpful and we toured to many interesting locations. The visit to the minority village was great. The food at lunch was great!

I wholeheartedly recommend Easyriders to anyone wishing to have a great tour and see some of the countryside!

A quick note: Make sure you book your tour directly through vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com, Hotels may offer you an 'Easyriders' tour, but these are not the same people.

Ga on Viet - Tuesday, 13 January 2009 16:12 - Israrel

Also nicht zögern, einfach machen! Daniel & Denise

10-daage tour Viet van vietnam easyrider! - Friday, 02 January 2009 02:23 - Holland

A wonderful tour! - Saturday, 27 September 2008 01:02 - Israrel

Why should you go on a Easy Rider tour....WHY NOT?! Yes, if you are backpackers it is a bit expensive but so worth it! Viet and Davis  where not only very good and safe drivers, they where also really good guides and fun company on our 4 days - 3 nights trip from Da Lat to Mui Ne. This was definately one of our highlights in Vietnam. The beatiful roads, waterfalls, hilltribe villages, Vietnam war stories, dining experiences, factories.... Davis,Viet, thanks again for this amazing experience! Viet, don't forget to accept our facebook request so we can send you the video as soon as possible. You will look at the website :www.vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com
