What an experience !!! We did a day tour around DaLat with EasyRider Sinh at 3/11/2013. Sinh was a great guide. Based on his experience from his life and from his time as EasyRider he did allow us getting an insight view about the people, the minorities, the nature, the life of the Vietnamese people between the American war and now and a lot of funny stuff like the story of the Chicken village and the Weasel coffee. Although we did book a tour for about 6 hours it took us 9 hours to come back and we did feel like we did have a tour of multiple days :-) This day was and is a memorable part of our three weeks in Vietnam. Again many thanks to Sinh and his original Vietnam EasyRiders. We did enjoy this day very much. Visitors, take care to go with the real vietnam EasyRiders and not a copy of them !

Awesome way to experience Dalat's beautiful surroundings!!! We visited Dalat mainly because of the possibility to explore Dalat's beautiful surroundings on motorcycle. This company was strongly recommended by a friend and that’s why we headed straight towards Headquarters at 34 Co Loa street, DaLat . It’s one of the best tips (and trips) ever and was worth every penny! Mr. Viet himself, Mr. Khuong & Mr. Chilli took us to a lot of different, the most beautiful and interesting places in one day: elephant Waterfall, Crazy House, flower farms, coffee plantation, Silk factory, pagoda, minority village… We experienced the best of Dalat in one day. They were the best tour guides: let us took our time, answered all of your questions and more…. They accompanied us most of the time (even climbed the waterfall!) so they could provide us with very useful information and funfacts (on the spot) that we would not have known otherwise. We happily chatted, told jokes and they made us laugh, a lot!!!! Although none of us had ever been on a motorcycle before, just immediately it turned out to be the most relaxing way to visit everything we'd like to see! In other words: a reliable company and awesome guides.
Booked this two days before via vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com and just turned up at Hue hostel to be told all ready for 10 the next day. I travelled on the back of Davis's Harley (well actually Honda but let him live the dream LOL ) while my BF rode his own bike. Davis gave me a pretty good running commentary as we passed places of interest and stopped for great photo opportunities. Riding anywhere in Vietnam is an experience but this was beyond description - breathtaking views and hair raising traffic. The Hai Van Pass is a must see as are the bullet riddled bunkers at the summit. Sea mists roll in quickly but disperse just as fast so hold on for the view.
I wanted to discover Vietnam, but not in a traditional way of using the tours. Someone suggested me to do with a bike. after searching around, i came across Easy Riders. And boy I am glad I did. Mr. Hung, my guide was really down to earth person, who took me around Nha Trang and Dalat, and took me to places even out of the city to explore the country side. The owner gave me a tentative list, but I was allowed to change the itinerary on the move. He told me stories about places which I could not read even in lonely planet or other guide books, but only by the locals. The food was a highlight, if you up for experimenting and trying street food.
All in all, i would recommend the tour people and also Mr. Hung for your travels.

We spent the better part of three days in Dalat figuring out whether we could fit this trip into our budget. The answer was "Probably not, but we'll definitely regret not doing this". Best decision we could have made. We took a 3D/2N trip from Dalat to Nga Trang, riding pillion with Ton and Phu. We were completely inexperienced on a motorbike but after some reassuring words and a few jokes we were on our way, weaving through the traffic and holding on far tighter than necessary.
Our first stop of many was at a local tofu producer, where we tried out some fresh and fried tofu - the best we've tasted since arriving. We also made stops at a flower farm, a silk manufacturing plant (ate some silk worms, think warm, peanut butter with a crispy shell, surprisingly yummy), and a thundering waterfall you can walk underneath. The scenery passing by was just breathtaking, we relaxed on the bikes and took in the sights, smells and sounds. Every time we needed a break our guides somehow read our minds. Before we knew it we were pulling in to a coffee plantation to try some famous Weasel Coffee (so worth it, we bought some to bring home). Unfortunately Phus bike broke down but was soon replaced by ton, who was just as friendly.
The second day began with an elephant ride across Lak Lake and past rice paddies, before we set off to visit more farms. Unfortunately our elephant rider was extremely cruel and rough to our elephant using a sharp, rusty, metal hook in its ear when it attempted to turn off the path. Resulted in the most horrific cry we have ever heard an elephant give. Also repeatedly banged a metal spike into its head to keep it moving. Really soured our experience, we begged him to let the elephant decide when it had had enough but he forced it to continue. Really sad they are not educating their keepers to treat these magnificent animals respectfully. It was scary, we wanted to get off almost as soon as we got on. This was the only negative experience on our trip and not really to do with Easyriders, just our experience.
Moving on though, for reasons unknown to us the entire second day was spent riding through swirling clouds of thousands of brilliant yellow butterflies, really just added to the magical experience. We stopped at the most delicious cafes and restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all local and very yummy, healthy and safe (one of us has a sensitive stomach). The Hmong minority village we visited was a definite highlight, as we were one of the few tourists that have ever been there.
The last day we were caught in an absolutely ferocious lightening storm which forced us to take shelter for half an hour with several other locals. Such dramatic weather enhanced the feelings of adventure and excitement.
Rolled into Nha Trang soggy but proud, loved the looks we were getting from the dressed up tourists strolling the sidewalk. Still can't wipe the smiles off our faces even weeks later.
If you are in the same position as we were, we would recommend to just go for it. We have no regrets and it was definitely worth the money to get to know the real Vietnam. Do at least the 3 day tour if possible, we wished we could do longer. Go via the new road on the last day through the beautiful mountains instead of the horrible highway! Loved it!!! Thanks Phuong, Ton and Phu

Hi all!! We are a european young couple traveling in Vietnam!! We reached Dalat a few days ago and just finished our 3day motorbike tour with our two guides Viet and Hung!! How to summarize it!! Amazingly cool three days in which we experience what we were after the REAL VIETNAM :) we bumped into Viet while in Dalat and sat down with him so he could tell us about the tour... Originally we had second thoughts as it was a bit out of our current budget...but... Thanks god we did not make the big mistake of declining this opportunity as it was worth every USD spent!! Stephane is a war veteran keen to explain every single detail of the story of his country while showing you places you just would not see on your own even if you were to hire your own motorbike !! Speaks really good english and french, drives carefully, amazing sense of humor...polite and also eager to learn from you... On top of that he and hue are just really warm and positive people! After our three exploratory days saying bye bye to each other was like saying adios to a couple of mates!! We wished each other good luck and i cross my fingers i can find similar experiences during the rest of our trip!!
Here is a video that we made i hope it helps!!... I will also leave their contact details below;
After travelling for 4 months throughout 8 countries myself and my partner were getting fed up of long and boring bus journeys! We wanted to experience Vietnam more closely and explore things inbetween the main cities.
I had heard about easy riders from my friend so had a look online and soon found out there were many companies and also the price is not cheap! (Especially on a backpacker budget). But after reading previous reviews on TA we decided to go for it as we may only be here once!
It is definitely worth it!! Don't hesitate with booking this. Go ahead and do it!
We booked the 4 day tour from Saigon to Da lat and have added on an extra day to Nha trang after a rest day in Da lat. We have been to many places we would have definitely not have been to otherwise, to name but few; rubber tree, cashew nut, dragon fruit, tea and coffee plantations. We have learnt about and visited minority villages, travelled over the mountains, seen beautiful waterfalls and fairy stream. Amongst many other things.
Mr Khoi was our tour guide and he is very knowledgable about Vietnams history and can tell you all about the places you visit. Tam has great English and conversation is easy! He is also a great cook we discovered this when he cooked squid and shells on a BBQ one night by the coast! All the food along the tour has been fantastic and cheap! Making sure we have local food is more enjoyable!!
We only wish we could travel through the whole of vietnam with KhOi but our budget will not stretch that far!
Thanks again from Jen and Rob!

This review relates to the group known as Vietnam easyrider. They can be found at 34 Co Loa DaLat city. A number of different groups can be found on this street, so the address is important. A friend and I just returned from a magnificant trip to Vietnam. We are experienced budget tourists (I am 60 she is younger) and we are both women. I haven't ridden a motorcycle very much in the past. I am american, she is German. We spent a total of 15 days on the motorbikes (one day in dalat then fourteen more going north)
After debating the cost of the trip for a number of hours over a large amount of coffee - and after making our pros and cons list (cons included the price and the possibility that we wouldn't be physically comfortable on the trip) we decided to "go for it". I was initially impressed at this group of men and how they functioned professionally, letting us decide without pressure - allowing us space after our initial conversation. For me this gentleness was really important - and perhaps key to our initial choice.
We were fortunate to get two drivers that totally fit our personalities. One organized and in control of the situation, the other more playful. Both behaved very professionally during the trip and there was never a moment (on my part) of being concerned about safety or security.
I would say that the trip was an absolute joy and we were able to see things at a level that no bus ride could ever bring. We were able to ask any questions, were fed well and were able to try foods that we wouldn't otherwise been comfortable in trying and were comfortable on the bikes. Seeing Vietnam from the motorbike perspective with two gentlemen such as we had is really the only way to go. We saw home based processes without any sales pitches (YEAH!) and had just the right amount of stops. I found the motorbike experience to be completely comfortable.
A total pleasure for me, and defintely something I plan on doing again (hopefully with the same team) when I return to see Hanoi and the Sapa area.
Because our pleasure was derived from the method (motorcyles) and our team of tourguides (Viet and Chilli), its appropriate to share with you their direct contact information. Calling is probably preferrable to e-mailing (if you are last minute) as they are often on the road. I will send you just Viet's information (his English is perfect) but I urge you to ask for them as a Team (Viet and Chilli) as they are well suited to a team.you will get the website of vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com
Thank you very much
After a great day tour around Hue with Mr Viet via the website:Vietnamoriginaleasurider.com.He advised I should take the two day trip to Hoi An instead of just the one. I decided to go with his recommendation and pleased to say the trip was amazing! We followed the Ho Chi Minh trail through the mountain pass, which was simply stunning. Lots of stop off's to take pictures, meet local people and we took time to hand out colouring books to kids belonging to a local tribe.
The second day was equally enjoyable coming through the mountain pass and on to highway one through Danang, stopping at many beautiful sights. We even dropped in to a local wedding for a drop of rice wine and watched them preparing a buffalo for the feast!
This is the best way to see the real Vietnam with great guides, easy riding and a big slice of local culture. Pleased to have done this trip and would highly recommend this mode of transport to take in the sights and learn something new.
We met Chau in Dalat at the busterminal and he convinced us to do an Easy Rider trip with him. First we were not sure to spend the money on an unplanned motorbike trip but in the end every we spend was worth it. We went from Dalat to Lak Lake and then to Dak Mil and from there via the Ho Chi Minh Trail to Dong Xoai and finally to . We have had a lot of time to see Vietnam off the "Lonley Planet track" and we have learned a lot about history, culture and many other themes. Without the tour we would never have had this deep sight of Vietnam. Khuong and Chau are safe drivers and we felt very comfortable with them. We highly recommend them as Chau is the orginal "Easy Rider" with a 18 year experience. Don't think about the money too much as you will never ever get cheaper food, beer or coffee during your trip trough Vietnam. When you come to Dalat contact him directly Mobile phone 09 13 75 32 34.
We booked a tour around DaLat via the website :www.vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com.We met Davis Viet at the bus station when we arrived in Da Lat. He took us to a good, cheap hotel and we then spent the next day touring Da Lat with them. It was an amazing day. The bikes are comfortable, they ride very safely and stop frequently so you can stretch your legs and take photos of the amazing views. We visited waterfalls, a silk factory, flower farm, coffee plantation and mushroom farm to name a few places. We enjoyed the day so much we decided to travel with them to Nha Trang on a two day tour.
The guys were brilliant - really working hard to show us the real Vietnam - local people, local culture and local businesses. We spent the first day travelling to Buon Ma Thuot via Lak Lake and M'Nong Village, then the second day travelling to Nha Trang. Everywhere we stopped they thoroughly explained the life, the processes of how and why it was done in such a way in Vietnam. We saw a pepper plantation, rubber plantation, cocoa plantation, rice fields, wood carving, tofu production, broom making and many many more things. It has been an absolutely fantastic trip.
One of the highlights was going out for dinner with Viet and Davis on the night in Buon Ma Thuot - eating goat, a local delicacy and drinking rice wine.
I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone interested in seeing the real Vietnam - I'm definitely coming back soon to travel more of Vietnam with them. I now wouldn't do it any other way.
If you're interested in the same, you can call Viet (01679558236) or contact Viet at www.vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com,you are awesome!!!
Hello everybody! We would like to recomend you about the (real!) Easy Riders- Viet and Nam It was a plesure for us to be with them 2 days from Na Thrang to Da Lat and to see Vietnam from their eyes. We learned alot about Vietnam- the war, coulture, agricoulture, local food, religion and stories from their personal life! They take care of us all the time and it was the best experience we had in Vietnam! Enjoy :)
We visited Dalat, which is a short flight from Ho Chi Ming City, Vietnam. We went with our baby and some friends. Dalat was amazing in so many ways. It is cool due to the altitude, and it is very agricultural. Also, it just had a cool vibe. We stayed at an amazing hotel the Ana Mandara Villas, and just loved the service and all the fresh food. We ventured into town, a quick 10-15 minute trip to book a tour and happened upon Viet's tours, contact number 01679558236, or you can also contact him at vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com That's how we met Viet. He was an AMAZING tour guide, flexible and reasonable, even with diverse crowd (some 20-something and 30-something with a 2 year baby) that we were. It was a great day. We scheduled a water fall, temple, and sight seeing visit. He stopped along the way and for a civet coffee (definitely a unique experience, and yes it tastes just like normal coffee), and a silk factory, which had a non-pushy environment. No one tried to sell us anything it was more like to show us the process. When I told him I would like to get to the waterfall before the baby took his afternoon nap, he promptly got us to our intended waterfall location. Afterwards, for lunch he stopped us at a local place, and we paid so little for so much. He could of taken us to a fancy place for foreigners but we opted for local and he took to a very clean local place with amazing food. I am sooooo looking forward to going back to Dalat and contacting our guide Viet to visit some more of Dalat's amazing waterfalls. Thank you Stephan, and may your business thrive. Until we meet again, and sorry this review took me to long to write!
All the best,
Paola and friends
I did a 2 days trip from Dalat to bao loc and it was BRILLIANT with Mr MY.
I guarantee that I'm a difficult customer, however Mr MY was able to accommodate all my requests, and advice in advance about the tour. I wanted to see local business small and big, how they work and how they do.. And of course the landscape seen was wonderful. I could see that MY is a genuine guide, he showed me around and explain on all my questions. It was also a safe driver, with all the equipments needed, as it rain once, I can confirm.
He choose decent and clean places to eat, so I felt safe also on that side.
We stop along the road a few times to meet local farmer in work, that was also super great. Sometimes I needed some pictures taken, and can tell that he also take great pictures.
Really, if you want the tour, ask all question before, and if the answer is yes, I for sure advise to take it as I did.
Last but not least, mr MY organized for me the extra hotel night in bao loc and brought me to the hotel, leaving only once i was all settled.
Thank you again Mr. MY

Following an initial email via www.vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com and agreement on a tour, Viet made time to come to our hotel in Nha Trang to discuss the trip and make sure we were happy with the route. I had initially been worried this might be an opportunity for him to try to extend our tour, but Viet was only keen to welcome us and agree an the trip route and timings. He is a personable and outgoing individual with a good command of English and an infectious laugh- and made himself even more likeable by paying for our coffee!and Viet speaks really good English!
After turning up at the agreed time and securing our bags safely, Viet and his team of two assistants started the journey. The other men did not speak much English, but were attentive and friendly nonetheless. Viet was very professional in always checking that I had passport, wallet and camera somewhere safe.
Our journey to Dalat took two days, during which we stopped frequently to take in the sights and enjoy refreshments. he had many interesting stories to share with us. Being from the Central Highlands, he also had some very funny local anecdotes than non-local drivers might miss. He also knew unusual little stops, such as a remote coffee stall that had a tiny silkworm nursery in the back room.
I was particularly impressed by Viet's eagerness to create a 'one family' atmosphere within our group, where all the group ate and drank as equals. In one restaurant where they charged different prices for Westerners and Vietnamese customers, Viet insisted on paying for our meal in order to avoid us paying the hiked up price. He clearly felt it important an part of the tour that we experienced Vietnamese life as closely as possible, and was happy to accommodate extra features that we had not originally agreed upon, such as setting off early so we could all enjoy breakfast together in a local cafe.
As a British person living in Vietnam, I had been worried that the trip would have a jaded, touristy vibe to it. However, despite the inevitable fact that we were that only Brits around, I didn't ever get the impression that Viet was just churning out tired old stories. Despite having run 'over a thousand' tours his manner was fresh and genuine, and he clearly enjoys educating people about his local area.
As the tone of the review probably suggests, I came to feel very fond of Viet and his crew during the tour, and have already been recommending his services to my colleagues in Saigon. Great service,
Me and my girlfriend went on a tour from Ho Chi Minh City to Dalat with Mr.Davis and Viet. From the very beginning we felt comfortable in their company. They speak very good English and joked with us and told many interesting things about Vietnam, both during the breaks and while driving through the beautiful landscape. Even though the roads are of very different quality in Vietnam, we felt safe during the entire tour and just leant back and enjoyed the scenery.
I really feel like the tour showed us "the real Vietnam", a Vietnam we would not have seen had we not taken the tour. We visited and spoke with local people we passed on the road, saw how to make bricks, silk, rubber and many other interesting things. Everywhere we went Mr.Davis and Viet could teach us things about what we saw. Their knowledge of the landscape is also fantastic, so we drove through amazing landscape with beautiful viewpoints, visited and swam in waterfall and generally had a fantastic time.
The guys was amazing, all the time making sure that we had a good time and listened to our needs and wishes. If you have any doubt whether or not to go on this tour, I would strongly advise you to go - for the experience of a lifetime. We highly recommend them.and their company:vietnamoriginaleasyrider.com
Danke für den schönen Trip Thank you very much Chilli! Oder aber auch Cảm ơn
Our family of mum, dad and 2 adult sons did a one day bike trip Nha Trang to Dalat with Easyriders and a 2nd day trip to see the rest Dalat and surrounds has to offer. The trip was one of the highlights of our time in Vietnam. From my first contact with Viet via email :email@example.com until we said our final goodbyes we had an awesome time. They even organised our luggage to get to Dalat! We rode with Viet, Chilli, Khuong and Davis, what great guys. Funny, entertaining (Chilli's singing), knowledgeable, interesting and above all safe. Being the only middle-aged female and with no bike riding experience I was a little nervous. My nerves were settled within the first few minutes, I had no doubt I was with someone who cared and put safety first, of cause my boys and husband just loved it from the moment they sat on the bike. The scenery along the way is beautiful as you climb the mountain with stops along the way for enjoying and photos. We had a lovely lunch at a clean restaurant (with western toilets) alongside a river. Just beautiful.
We cannot thank our easyriders guys enough.

Aanradertje dus! For the rest: Book a tour, you definitely won't regret it. It's the best.
